Our buyer's premium is 15% of the hammer price plus VAT at 20% a total payable of 18%...

Please note... online buyers also pay the-saleroom.com an extra commision charge of 4.95% plus VAT for their live bidding & 'autobid' services. Their charge will be added to your invoice at cost.

Free commission bidding service...

We offer our free of charge, 'Fair Bid' (autobid) commission bidding service with our proven guarantee to buy for you as cheaply as possible subject only to any reserve or other bids.
Free telephone bidding is available to UK buyers only at our discretion & is subject to the number of lines available & other conditons.




In-house shipping service...

We offer a in-house postal shipping service but only for items acceptable & suitable by fragility & size for Royal Mail & Parcelforce UK & airmail tracked services. We can recommend other specialist shippers to UK & overseas buyers for purchases we cannot ship.

We charge the postage fee at cost plus a fair charge for packing, handling & materials. The charge is added to the buyer's invoice.

We receive many commendations for our shipping service.











Live bidding & online catalogues...

Fully illustrated catalogues are available online from 10 days before the auction.

Payment for purchases...

Payment strictly within 5 days of the auction by cash, UK debit card or bank transfer.  Debit card payments can be taken by telephone.
Credit card payments only accepted for purchases under 250.  It is not possible to collect payment from the credit card registered with the-saleroom.com for verification purposes.
Direct bank transfer will be required for high value purchases. Bank transfers from non-UK bank accounts will incur a 8 bank handling fee.

Always obtain a condition report & ensure you have all the information you require before bidding as buying online through the-saleroom.com constitutes a contract to pay for the purchase.

Detailed reports can be requested by telephone or email & further images can be supplied free of charge.

Always ensure you are satisfied with any condition report & the catalogue description before bidding.

All information supplied is offered is for guidance only. Measurements & weights in catalogues & condition reports are approximate & images must not be relied on for estimating size, colour or condition.

Our office & saleroom is operating, but buyers must make a pre-arranged appointment to collect purchases, safety measures will be in place...

We still offer an in-house postal shipping service for suitable items. Processing & delivery speeds may be a little slower than normal due to the current crisis. Other carriers will still be available for items we cannot ship...
