Our new logo...

We are introducing a new logo design...
We decided we wanted a more distinctive logo, less derivative & more personal to The Harbour Saleroom & its unique location on the Quay of Penzance harbour to replace the current ubiquitous auctioneer's gavel over stylised 'KA' initials.
We decided upon a stylised depiction of the Penzance harbour lighthouse which stands just across the road from our saleroom at end of the South pier. We feel this new logo is more distinctive & more importantly gives a sense of place by making the connection of our premises to the Penzance harbour area & also with the original builders & former occupants of our saleroom, Trinity House.
Trinity House acquired the site of our saleroom in the mid-19th century to construct the Wolf Rock lighthouse that stands off the south coast of Cornwall. Later they built the depot to service the lighthouses, lightships & maritime buoys around the South West. It is that building, now fully restored, that contains our office & saleroom today.
We aim to introduce our new lighthouse logo into our stationery, signage, publicity, advertising & website over the coming months.

Of course... if we were even more pretentious!... we could claim our lighthouse logo represents a safe, guiding light to a better auction experience!!!
