Information for buyers...

Paddle bidding... All buyers are required to register to bid as bidding numbers are used at my auctions.

Commission bids... A commission bidding service is available for anyone unable to attend the auction. A guarantee is given that all bids will be executed as cheaply as possible subject to other bids or any reserves. When more than one bid is placed for the same amount, the bid place first will take precedence. The Auctioneer will not be liable for missing a bid or failing to secure any lot.

Live bidding... Online bidding via www.the-saleroom.com is available for my auctions. 3% commission + VAT is charged by the-saleroom.com for this service

Telephone bidding... Bidding live by telephone is possible. Telephone lines must be booked as early as possible as there is limited availability.

Condition reports... Prospective buyers must satisfy themselves as to condition of any lot before bidding. Detailed condition reports are available by e-mail or telephone. It is strongly recommended that a report is obtained before making a bid.

The catalogue... Prospective buyers must satisfy themselves as the the accuracy of any catalogue description. All sizes shown in catalogues are approximate. Photographs should not be relied on for accuracy of colour etc. Estimates are only a guide to what the lot may achieve & do not necessarily reflect any reserve.

Absentee buyers... Successful absentee & distant buyers can pay for purchases from the day after the auction via the Auctioneer's office only, not the venue. Unpaid accounts will be invoiced by e-mail or post.

Payment... Payment available by debit & credit card, direct bank transfer or cheque . Multiple purchase of gold & silver can be paid for by bank transfer only. Credit cards are subject to a 2% bank processing charge. Payment is due after the end of the auction & by return on receipt of any invoice.

Packing & shipping... Shipping services are available through the Auctioneer or my recommended carrier. Items suitable by size, value & fragility can be shipped by Royal Mail. Items can also be packed ready for collection by the buyer's own choice of carrier. Contact the auctioneer for further details.

ARR at art auctions... Artist's Resale Rights commission of 4% may apply to some lots in my art auctions. It is chargeable by law to any buyer on any artist's work still in copyright if the hammer price paid is over 1000 Euros.
