Important information for online bidders & buyers...


Please read before registering to bid or bidding...


Buyer's commission... is 15% +VAT at 20% per lot. Total 18%. add 4.95% +VAT at 20% commission per lot for their live bidding service.

By bidding online... buyers are entering a legally binding contract to pay for any lot purchased. Non-payers will be blocked from future bidding at our auctions & details made available for other auctioneers.  All lots are sold under our Conditions of Sale & Terms of Business.

Condition reports... a condition report for more detailed information must always be obtained before bidding.. Further images are available upon request. They are not available on auction day.


Condition of any lot... minor faults, commensurate of signs of age, use or part of manufacture etc. may not described in a lot description. It does not imply the lot is perfect.

All items are used & previously owned....

It must not be assumed items are unused, undamaged, complete or in fully working order. Please check lot description or request further information if required.


Payment for purchases... is upon receipt of invoice via telephone by debit card or bank transfer or upon collection. Storage for later collection is not possible.


Live online bidding registration... we reserve the right to decline any registration by bidders with negative or poor feedback.

New registrants with no buying record may be temporarily declined until assurances are received in response to an email from us.

Register to bid early... late applications may be declined... late registrations to bid, new registrants & applications to bid received on auction day or once the auction has begun will be declined.

Our buyers commission is only 15% + VAT...

Our auctions comprise of entries from private vendors, collections, down sizing, house contents & family estates

We are independent, non-corporate auctioneers operated by the sole proprietor...

All our auctions are held live, online with fully illustrated catalogues via & are open to personal attendance with seating provided.


We offer a fast & free pre-auction condition report service. Our own free, 'FairBid' commission bidding service has a proven guarantee that we  buy a cheaply as possible. subject only to other bids or any reserves.


If identical bid are left on any lot. preference is given to the bid placed first. Preference is also given to bidders in our saleroom over bids placed online.

Viewing the auction is available through a private, personal appointment the week before the auction, arranged through our office.


Also, without appointment on the Monday open to all viewing day before the auction.

Our in-house shipping service for your purchases...

We offer a prompt, in-house shipping service for items suitable for Royal Mail or Parcelforce tracked & insured services. Postage is charged at cost, plus a fair fee for packing & materials.

We email you when your purchase is shipped with the tracking number.

Shipping estimates… Pre-auction estimates of shipping costs are available, but are supplied as estimates only & will be subject to confirmation after purchase.


Postage at cost… We pass on the price of postage at cost to us. We do not add a surcharge or other percentage to postage costs.


Insurance... Purchases are insured in transit only to the limits, restrictions & conditions of the carrier. Extra fees for in-transit insurance cover for valuables are the responsibility of the purchase..


Tracking number…  We inform all buyers by email when their items are shipped & supply a tracking number if appropriate.


Packing, handling & materials charge… We offer a fair packing charge based on the time required to pack, the complexity of packing & the materials involved. We always attempt pack safely & securely using quality new & recycled materials.


Multiple purchases…  Whenever possible we will ship multiple purchases as one parcel providing it does not compromise safety in transit. We reserve the right to ship multiple purchases in more than one parcel on safety grounds. We reserve the right to decline to offer shipping for large multiple purchases we deem unsuitable for postal shipping services.

Items we cannot ship… Our in-house postal shipping service is only available for non-fragile items suitable by value, size & weight for shipping with Royal Mail/Parcelforce tracked & signed for services. We cannot ship items we deem vulnerable to damage or prohibited by UK postal services.  We have a recommended carrier for items we cannot handle. Buyers can collect in person or arrange their own carrier at the buyer’s risk.


Claims for loss or damage… All purchasers are shipped are subject to the service providers own Terms & Conditions. We cannot be held responsible for damage or loss during transit caused by the carrier. The buyer will be responsible for making any claim for any damage or loss packed by us from the carrier. We will assist any buyer with proof of posting & insurance. We recommend the buyer provides their own shipping insurance.


Our shipping schedule… We operate a queue system for packing & shipping in turn of payment received that is subject to the length of any queue. We  begin posting from the first Monday after the auction. We do not post on Fridays so as parcels remain undelivered over weekends.


Payment for shipping… Our shipping charge will automatically be added to & shown on the buyer’s invoice. when charged.
